Buying Used Boxes
How much do used boxes cost compared to new boxes?
Used boxes typically cost 30-50% less than buying new. The exact price depends on the box size, grade, and order quantity. For example, a standard 18x18x16 moving box in Grade B condition costs around $1.50-2.00 each, compared to $3.00-4.00 new. Volume discounts are available for orders of 100+ boxes, and bulk accounts with recurring orders receive additional savings.
What sizes of used boxes do you carry?
We carry a wide range of standard sizes from small (12x10x6) to extra-large (24x24x24), plus specialty sizes including dish pack boxes, wardrobe boxes, and flat-panel boxes. We also stock gaylord boxes (48x40x36 and other pallet-sized containers) for bulk shipping and storage. Inventory varies daily since we source from local businesses, but our most popular sizes are almost always in stock. If you need a specific size, contact us and we will check current availability.
Are used boxes strong enough for shipping?
Yes, when properly graded. Our Grade A and Grade B boxes retain 85-100% of their original structural strength and are suitable for shipping. Corrugated cardboard is engineered to be durable — a single-wall box rated at 200 lbs burst strength retains most of that capacity through multiple uses. We test and inspect every box before grading it. For heavy or fragile items, we recommend Grade A boxes or double-wall options.
Can I inspect boxes before buying?
Absolutely. You are welcome to visit our warehouse at 805 S 17th St, Boise during business hours (Mon-Fri 7AM-5PM, Sat 8AM-12PM) to browse inventory and inspect box quality in person. No appointment needed. For large orders, we recommend visiting so you can see the grade quality firsthand before committing.
Selling Your Boxes
How does your Box Buyback Program work?
Our Box Buyback Program is simple. Contact us with details about your surplus boxes — approximate sizes, quantities, and condition. We will provide a quote based on current market rates. If you accept, we schedule a pickup at your location (free for quantities over 50 boxes) or you can drop them off at our warehouse. We inspect and grade the boxes on arrival and pay you based on the agreed price. Payment is typically issued within 3-5 business days.
What condition do boxes need to be in to sell them?
We purchase boxes in all reusable conditions, from like-new to lightly worn. Boxes should be dry, free of contamination (food residue, chemicals, mold), and structurally intact — meaning they can still hold their shape when assembled. We do not purchase boxes that are waterlogged, heavily crushed, contaminated, or missing flaps. Even boxes with minor scuffs, tape residue, or old labels can qualify as Grade C or D inventory.
How much will you pay for my used boxes?
Pricing depends on box size, condition, and quantity. Standard corrugated boxes in good condition (Grade B equivalent) typically earn $0.50-1.50 each, depending on size. Gaylord boxes in good condition can earn $5-15 each. Large, clean boxes in like-new condition command the highest buyback prices. We provide specific quotes after reviewing box details. The more boxes you have, and the better their condition, the better the per-unit price.
Recycling Services
Do you pick up boxes for recycling?
Yes. We offer recycling pickup services across the Boise metro area. Unlike traditional recycling where boxes are immediately broken down into pulp, we first assess whether boxes are reusable. Boxes that still have life in them enter our resale inventory, and boxes that have reached end-of-life are sent to certified recycling facilities. Pickup scheduling is flexible — we can set up one-time pickups or regular scheduled collections for businesses that generate ongoing cardboard waste.
Is there a fee for recycling pickup?
For quantities of 50+ boxes, recycling pickup is free. For smaller quantities, there is a nominal pickup fee of $25 to cover transportation costs. If your boxes are in reusable condition and qualify for our buyback program, you may actually earn money instead of paying a fee. We handle all sorting, grading, and responsible disposal — you just need to have the boxes accessible for our pickup crew.
What happens to boxes that cannot be reused?
Boxes that are too damaged, contaminated, or structurally compromised for reuse are sent to certified recycling facilities where they are pulped and made into new paper products. We maintain partnerships with local recycling processors to ensure responsible handling. No box that enters our system ends up in a landfill — our zero-landfill commitment means every box is either reused or recycled.
Delivery & Logistics
What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver throughout the Boise metro area, including Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Star, Kuna, and Garden City. For locations outside our standard delivery zone in the greater Treasure Valley, contact us for a custom delivery quote. We plan efficient routes to minimize emissions and keep delivery costs reasonable.
How fast can I get boxes delivered?
We offer three delivery tiers: Same-Day delivery for orders placed before 10 AM (subject to availability), Next-Day delivery for orders placed before 3 PM, and Scheduled delivery where you pick a date that works best. Most orders ship next business day. For large or custom orders, lead times may be 2-3 business days to allow for sorting and quality checks.
Is there a minimum order for delivery?
There is no minimum order for delivery, but we offer free delivery on orders over $150. Orders under $150 incur a delivery fee of $15-25 depending on distance. For very small orders (under 10 boxes), warehouse pickup is often the most cost-effective option. Bulk accounts with recurring orders receive free delivery regardless of order size.

Yes. Our warehouse at 805 S 17th St, Boise, ID 83702 is open to the public during business hours: Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Do you offer bulk pricing for businesses?
Yes. We offer tiered volume pricing for businesses that order regularly. Orders of 100-499 boxes receive a 10% discount, 500-999 boxes receive 15%, and 1,000+ boxes receive 20% or more depending on the arrangement. For businesses with recurring monthly needs, we offer dedicated bulk accounts with custom pricing, priority stock allocation, and a dedicated account manager.
How do you grade your boxes?
We use a four-tier grading system: Grade A (Like New) boxes show minimal wear with no printing, stains, or structural damage. Grade B (Good) boxes may have minor scuffs or tape residue but are structurally sound. Grade C (Fair) boxes show visible wear, may have printing or labels, but remain functional. Grade D (Usable) boxes have noticeable wear and cosmetic issues but still hold their shape and can serve for storage or light-duty use.
